GENERIC RECRUITING SCRIPT:

Good Morning or Afternoon  , this is NAME, I am an executive recruiter with one of the most successful search firms in the country that specializes strictly in placing professionals within the TYPE OF INDUSTRY industry. Currently I am working with some of the top TYPE OF ORGANIZATION (ACCOUNTING FIRM, CONTRACTOR, etc.) in the industry who are looking for positions anywhere from TITLE OF ENTRY LEVEL POSITION to Vice President. The reason for my call to you today is, if one of these positions represented a significant career advancement both financially as well as professionally would you be interested in hearing more about it.

If Yes,

Well, before anything can happen___Name___, I would like to get a snapshot over the phone of your background- so one I can see what your professional goals in life are, and two so I can narrow down the positions I have available to ones that suit your needs.

IS THIS TRULY CONFIDENTIAL???

Good question, let me reiterate, CONFIDENTIALITY is the backbone of my business and it is what separates a consultant from a recruiter. Without it, I might as well do something else.

 I DON'T KNOW WHAT I AM INTERESTED IN…

I know you don’t know but let me ask you something, if you did not know what would your gut tell you right now?”Answer…“Well it does not hurt to…”

HOW DID YOU GET MY NAME???

Good question…frankly NAME, I make it my business to network in this industry so I am aware of changing trends and find top talent. As I indicated, you were confidentially referred. I don’t keep track of my sources because I never reveal him anyway.

Have you ever been recruited before?

HAPPY WHERE HE IS

That’s great! Not many people can honestly say that and you’re very fortunate. Let me ask you something before we end this call. Name, if there was one thing that you could take this job from good to stellar, what would that change be? (Transition into doing a candidate data sheet from here…)
